Saxon Math: Lessons 41-45 on drawing and reading a
pictograph, identifying place value to hundreds, writing three-digit numbers in
expanded form, adding two-digit numbers using mental computation, naming line
segments, identifying a missing digit in an addition problem, multiplying 1 and
10 by a number, identifying factors and products, and estimating and finding
capacity of containers. *
History: World Rivers test corrections. Start Unit on
The Earliest Americans- Lesson 1 and 2 on Beringia- the Land Bridge and People
of the far north- the Inuits.

Religion: Preparation for First Reconciliation. Chapters 1-4 on we are called to serve
one another, Baptism, God gives everyone life, original sin, the sacraments,
children of the light, Zacchaeus, examination of conscience, and reverencing
the Word. Thanksgiving and
gratitude.
Science: Review of the
Muscular and Skeletal system. We will build a model of a leg and attach muscles
to it seeing how the muscles actually work. Make Muscles Move You! Book and discuss. Review for Skeletal and Muscular test
next week. *
Literature: We will finish reading the book Bunnicula
and discuss the poem “The First Thanksgiving of All” and the story Hunting
of the Great Bear.

English: Writing a friendly letter and the parts of a
letter. Sayings: “Beat around the
bush” and “Beggars can’t be choosers.” Go over November Book Report. Phonics Lesson 10 on combinations. *
Vocab./ Spelling: Vocab. – Unit 3 on definitions, synonyms and
antonyms of words, completing the sentence and word associations. Vocabulary
and Spelling Test on Friday. *
Art & Music: Thanksgiving art. We will be making Indian corn necklaces and Pumpkin weaving
mats. Music- learn and practice
songs for the Christmas performance.
Check White Envelope for: Reminders, information for Nov., and corrected
work to be filed in their 3 ring binders. November’s
Book Report form-due Friday November 30th.
